A recent study has shown that sex actually plays a large part in how casino games are played. Conducted by a Stanford University assistant professor of psychology, Brian Knutson, the study showed that male gamblers were far more likely to take bigger chances while playing casino games after being shown images of an erotic nature. As part of the study, males told to place bets on a game that offered them a 50% chance of winning. The results showed that all of the participants bet more on the games after being shown the images.
We don’t know how much casino games operators know about the results of this study but it would appear that judging from the costumes of the serving staff in most casinos that they do know more about the subject than they let on! In any case, what is certain is that the overall atmosphere of casinos adds a lot to the casino games experience.
